This collection started out as a series of experimental paintings that I created in a large batch. I used mostly watercolor. These became the perfect backdrop for the various creatures showcased in the series. The animal portraits were created in acrylic.

At a time when so many forces are working to disconnect us from each other and from our humanity, joy is not just a frivolity, it is a necessity. These paintings were created in the spirit of joyful resistance.
